Dear [team/member],

National CROWN Day is July 3 – and we’re celebrating in a big way.

Since 2019, Dove and the CROWN Coalition have been working to "Create a Respectful and Open World for Natural hair" by supporting the CROWN movement and the passage of the CROWN Act. Dove champions hair confidence in all spaces and celebrates the natural beauty and limitless potential of Black girls and women.

The CROWN Act protects our right to wear our hair the way it grows and the way we style it, including braids, locs, twists, and knots, in workplaces and in K-12 public and charter schools. What began as a single act of progress in 2019 has become a nationwide movement to celebrate and normalize Black hair. CROWN legal protection now exists in 30 states, covering over 31 million people. That momentum belongs to all of us.

National CROWN Day is a celebration of Black hair in all its glory, and a joyful call to keep the movement growing. Dove and the CROWN Coalition invite you to join the celebration by showing love for your CROWN. Here's how to celebrate on July 3:

  1. Post images of your CROWN using our photo filter HERE and add #CROWNLove, #CROWNProud, and #CROWNDay.

  1. Share why you love your CROWN and tag @TheCROWNAct.

  1. Encourage your family, friends, and followers to join the movement at Dove.com/CROWN

Let's celebrate our CROWNs together. 👑
